Your guest seating arrangement is more than important for the success of your wedding. After all, as a host, you want everyone at your wedding to feel truly excellent there – and where each person is seated can be absolutely crucial.
How to do it? What are some of the best tips to know about the seating chart? We have gathered them right below – so read on and find out more:
- The bride and the groom don’t have to sit at a separate table. As a matter of fact, they can sit at the same table with their honor attendants, with their honor attendants and close relatives or they can leave some seats empty at each table and move around in between the courses.
- If you choose to sit at a round table, keep in mind that you should be facing the other guests. The Maid of Honor has to sit at the left of the groom, while the Best Man will be seated at the right of the bride. The other bridal party members are seated outwards from the Best Man and Maid of Honor, alternating between bridesmaids and groomsmen.
- If your wedding is very traditional, the Mother of the Bride should be seated in a way that allows her to face the other guests in the room (because, traditionally, she is the host of the wedding). Also, the officiant and his/her spouse should be seated at the same table with the parents.
