Although not as common as evening weddings, daytime weddings are gaining their fair share of popularity among couples. Truth be told, you have all the reasons to love the idea, especially if you’re looking for a classy way to lower the costs of your Big Day.
How do daytime weddings work, and what are the essentials to keep in mind when planning them? Here are some tips to keep in mind:
• In general, there’s no big difference between daytime and evening weddings. They follow the same pattern and they are both quite permissive when it comes to the themes you can incorporate into the event. Of course, the timing will be different, and you might have to skip the cocktail hour – but other than that, a daytime wedding is very similar to an evening one.
• If you decide on a daytime wedding, remember that you will have to wake up earlier than you would do with an evening wedding – so if you’re not a morning person, you might want to re-consider this. Waking up at 6 am will give you plenty of time to get ready for your 11 am ceremony – and you can wrap the entire event up at 4 pm at the latest, so that you can spend the rest of the day with your loved one.
• In terms of the attires you can wear, a daytime wedding can be as formal as you wish. However, keep in mind that daytime formal is not the same as evening formal (so no tuxedos for your loved one and his guys!). The great news? You can still wear a really opulent wedding dress – after all, you are the bride!
